Guidelines related to Application Submission Process
- An entry is allowed to be nominated to only ONE Head Category. If eligible, an entry to a Head Category (except Student Category) is optionally allowed to enter in ANY of the Technology Categories, ANY of the Cross-categories and/or Special Awards.
In order to nominate an entry to any of the cross-category or technology category or some of the Special Awards, the entry must first be nominated to a relevant Head Category.
Student category projects are not eligible to compete in other head categories or cross categories or technology categories.
If eligible, an entry to the Head Categories is optionally allowed to compete in ANY of the Special Awards.
- When completing the online application, you are required to complete all sections in the application forms, and attach any supporting documents as required.
- Once submitted, changes to an entry nomination are strictly NOT allowed after the application closing deadline.
- For commercial categories and Postgraduate Student Category, there is NO limit to the number of applications per organization / Institute for NBQSA competition.
- For the tertiary (undergraduate) student categories, submissions should be shortlisted by each tertiary institution such that the maximum number of applications is limited to 12 per institution per category.
- Shifting applications between categories is not entertained after the application closing date, other than in exceptional circumstances where the judging advisory panel is convinced. Such requests are only entertained prior to the publishing of the schedule of judging.
- Withdrawal of applications already submitted to NBQSA are ineligible for refunds, if the request is made after the application submission deadline.
- The NBQSA calendar published on the website will indicate the respective judging dates well in advance. The schedule of judging will be published and will be kept updated on the NBQSA website. Hence, the participants are strictly advised to refer to the website regularly.
- It is the responsibility of the primary contact person indicated in the application to ensure the communication between the nominee/participant and the NBQSA Secretariat.
Guidelines for Participants during Judging
- The language used during judging and for all communications between participants and judges must be English (mandatory).
- Taking photographs and/or video or audio recordings by participants is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED during the judging sessions.
- All participants must submit their feedback form within 48 hours of their judging session.
- Contacting judges individually (either prior to, or after the completion of judging) for the purpose of feedback is strictly prohibited.
- Any complaint related to the judging process of the nominated entry could be made in writing to the judging advisory committee.The decisions made by the judging advisory committee are deemed final.
Guidelines related to presentation of Awards
- The results of the competition will be announced only at the NBQSA Awards Ceremony.
- The list of award recipients (titled winners circle), in no particular order and excluding the details of the awards, will be published on the NBQSA website prior to the Awards Ceremony.
- The selection of the participants to represent Sri Lanka at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards will be announced at the NBQSA awards ceremony.
- Applicants/winners are not allowed to make any duplicates of the awards/certificates/gift awarded by the NBQSA. If any duplicate/replacement awards/certificates are required, participants need to contact the NBQSA Secretariat (fees apply).
- Any suggestion on improvements to NBQSA could be forwarded in writing to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee National ICT Awards, NBQSA Secretariat.
