Any application of software and / or hardware developed by a company/organization that is registered within three (03) years to the application closing date. Start-up Company is a Information and Communication Technology company which develops an innovative and potentially superior ICT product but the company itself is still considered at the early stage of inception. The Start-up Company must meet the following criteria: The company must be a company fulfilling the criteria of eligibility for nomination.

(The company registration date with the Government’s Company Registration Scheme/Regulation must not be more than 3 years from the date of application closing date for the competition. Founder of the company and or the product developers must still be the major share holder of the company in Sri Lanka. The company must not be a subsidiary of well established parent company.)
