36 products from 26 software development companies from Sri Lanka participated in 09 Business related categories and Research & Development category. 40 student projects from universities participated in the University & Tertiary Education categories. 70 schools from Sri Lanka participated in the Young Scientist Categories.
The winners of Business, Research & Development and Tertiary categories were awarded the BCS awards in the Gala Dinner Awards Night on 11th October 2003. The winners were nominated to participate in APICTA 2003. Almost 300 people attended the awards Gala Dinner Awards Night – including Sri Lanka’s Minister for Science and Technology and BCS Vice President Charles Hughes.
Young Scientist Awards was held on 11th October 2003 noon with Lunch and again the chief guest was the BCS Vice President Charles Hughes. About 75 people attended this event.
